Servicing our Customers & Communities

Waste & Recycling Collection Services

We are not experiencing any delays in our collection services and currently have no plans to change our regular routing schedules. We remain committed to continue providing these essential services to the best of our ability while maintaining the health and safety of all.

To protect everyone in the community, including our collection crews, please ensure all personal hygiene products, used tissues, paper towels, napkins, sanitary wipes (even those labeled compostable), cleaning cloths, face masks, gloves, and similar items are disposed of in plastic garbage bags and not put in Recycling or Organics containers.

Garbage bags should be tied securely for disposal. Un-bagged or loose items will not be collected. For their safety, our operators have been instructed not to touch any items in the bins, so please ensure only accepted materials are placed in the bins.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation to help protect everyone in our community during this time.

Dear Drop-Off Customers,

With the global emphasis on containing the Coronavirus (COVID-19), WCS is taking additional precautions across our operations in addition to the recommendations and guidelines set up by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Government of Canada.

While we are still fully operational for commercial loads and public drop-off for confidential paper shredding and car seats, our North Vancouver Depot is closed for public drop-off of Red Bag recycling until further notice.

To keep staff and the public as safe as possible, please consider delaying your visit unless absolutely necessary, storing items at home temporarily, wherever possible. If you may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, or are in self-isolation or quarantine, please consider holding off on visiting our facility, or consider assigning a friend, colleague or family member to bring your documents into our depot for shredding.

We will continue to monitor this unique ever-evolving situation and it is our intention to re-open to the public as soon as conditions allow us to. We are committed to being proactive while we navigate the evolution of COVID-19 and will adhere to the direction of local authorities on ensuring the health and safety of all.
