Position: Class 5 Utility Driver

Location: North Vancouver or Coquitlam, BC

Overview of who we are looking for:

WCS is looking for a full-time (40 hours per week) Class 5 Driver with or without experience in our industry with the daily objective to safely complete designated routes in our Utility vehicles. This position involves pushing, pulling and maneuvering large industrial waste bins over short to moderate distances and performing container maintenance duties.

Requirements:

  • Class 5 driving license
  • Strong knowledge of Metro Vancouver roadways
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to perform physically demanding job
  • Capable of performing daily Pre and Post Trip Inspections

Position: Commercial Apprentice Technician

Location: Coquitlam, BC

Schedule: Full-time, may include evening and weekend work

As a member of our team of Technicians, you will be responsible for performing repairs and providing preventive maintenance on a variety of fleet vehicles in an environment focused on Safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles;
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and complete repairs with help of Red Seal Technician;
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience working in a commercial vehicle shop;
  • Completed Level 1 of apprenticeship program;
  • Working experience to include: working with hydraulics, air brakes, clutches, transmissions, and heavy duty engines;
  • Class 3 driver’s licence with air endorsement considered an asset;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Possess a commitment to delivering excellent customer service;
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

Note: This position may include some evening and weekend work.

Experience:

  • Commercial vehicle shop: 1 year (Required)
  • Waste industry: 1 year (Preferred)

Licence:

  • Level 1 apprenticeship program (Preferred)
  • Class 3 with air (Preferred)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Outside Customer Care Representative is responsible to:

  • Provide top level customer service to customers and major account partner teams.
  • Communicate well with the outside sales team and internal departments.
  • Establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships through telephone conversations, email communications and face to face meetings.
  • Act as the critical project coordinator both internally and externally for gathering and communicating data/information and following up on needed information.
  • Prepare and maintain various reports using excel skills, detailing customer communication and issues found and resolved.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 -5 years’ work experience in customer service, sales and/ or coordinating projects;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Hardworking, respectful, motivated, and enthusiastic;
  • Good communication skills – both verbal and written;
  • Experience interpreting and extracting data from a computerized system;
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), including ability to run and analyze reports while using various excel tools;
  • Experience in the waste/recycling industry or related industry.
