OVERVIEW OF WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Waste Control Services is looking for an experienced sales professional to focus on revenue growth for our front load, roll off, and low pro services for solid waste, organics, and recycling collection and disposal within the Commercial, Multi-Family Residential, Hospitality, Industrial, and Institutional market segments. You will accomplish this through prospecting for new business opportunities, while also driving the development, expansion, and retention of our current business within an assigned customer base.

You should be committed to providing our prospects and customers with exceptional service while creatively and relentlessly pursuing new business opportunities. We are looking for someone who can bring their passion, expertise, and innovation to our company. You will maintain a thorough knowledge of the Company’s available services, lines of business, and pricing structures, and will work in conjunction with other Sales personnel in circumstances where the need arises.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE:

In this position, you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales targets through the attainment of new business, increased revenue from existing accounts, and account retention. In addition to signing new customers, another primary focus is providing exceptional ongoing service through follow up on customer requests and concerns. You will be your customers’ waste management expert consultant.

Activities that are a regular part of the role:

· Prospecting, cold calling, and preparing and presenting quotes to obtain new business

· Coordinating with the Operations team regarding new customer site checks, container specifications, and service optimization

· Providing after-sale care and customer service for both new and assigned existing accounts within the territory

· Managing existing accounts to adjust their service levels and pricing as needed in order to ensure account retention, as well as ongoing profitability for WCS

· Meeting regularly with your Sales Manager to review your sales pipeline activity, as well as your customer relationship and retention activities

· Continuously learning and carrying out market analysis on the industry and our competitors in order to develop unique service options and profitable pricing structures for WCS’s customers

· Working closely and collaboratively with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and process efficiency

· Working with your Sales team colleagues to assist one another through sharing information and collaborating on strategy with the purpose of achieving common Company goals

· Other duties as assigned

Additionally, the person in this role will also be the lead representative for our compactor sales and service business segment. Collaborating with our Fabrication team, you will offer prospective customers customizable options to meet their specific needs, and will also engage them for preventative maintenance and waste hauling services. The ability to consult on garbage and recycling room sizes and configurations, from the architectural stage to completion, would be an asset.

Overview of who we are looking for:

We are searching for three Full-time Class 3 Driver (air endorsement required). At this time, we are seeking individuals who brings Waste Industry front load driving experience. This position will work in our Commercial Division. This position is a ‘floater’ position covering for those off on vacation, sick or helping with missed pick-ups. The position works Monday to Friday with daily overtime (2-3 hours).

Responsibilities:

  • Strong verbal communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Strong knowledge of Metro Vancouver roadways a definite asset
  • Ability to perform very physically demanding job (pushing and pulling hundreds of pound bins 60-80 times/daily)
  • Perform daily Pre & Post trip inspections
