Starting in 2019, the Waste Management Association of B.C. launched its Annual WMABC Recognition Awards program to share successes of those leading the way in the waste & recycling industry.
In its 2nd annual WMABC Member Recognition Awards, Waste Control Services was presented the 2020 Environmental Awareness Award. The award was in celebration of the collaborative work in waste reduction initiatives carried out with the PNE, Vancity Credit Union, the Binner’s Project, and Return-It over the years as well as sponsorship programs supporting local schools with zero waste initiatives.
With all the incredible work being done by other leaders in waste & recycling, this award really meant a lot to us. This milestone reignites the passion to continue pushing boundaries and taking ownership of the impact our industry has in shaping a more conscious tomorrow.
This year will mark the 3rd annual Member Recognition Awards, which will be carried out virtually. All of us would just like to wish everyone the best of luck in this year’s awards. May we continue to strive forward, together.
