On Saturday December 5, 2015 Waste Control Services participated in the Salvation Army’s 25th Annual Santa Shuffle and supported the event with recycling services. According to the organizers – 1000 runners came out to brave the rain and wind for the event in Stanley Park . The event was cheerful and participants dressed up in fun costumes for the holidays. The race started with a warm up to Christmas music that quickly led to the start of the 5 km Santa Shuffle Fun Run and 1 km Elf Walk. Racers were given delicious chili to enjoy after their run.
Waste Control Services enjoyed participating in the race and providing race participants with options for their compostables and beverage containers. Thank you to the Salvation Army for organizing the event and we look forward to attending again next year!
