Recycle Your Coroplast & Election Signs at WCS Depot & Support The Dixon Women’s Shelter!

Last fall, our North Van team held an election sign recycling fundraiser campaign where 100% of the recycling fees were donated to The Harvest Project, a local charity group on the North Shore extending a hand up to help low-income families get back on their feet.

This group helped one of our own staff and his family when they were going through a difficult time and made a huge impact on him and his family.  Thanks to the community’s support and election sign recycling last year, we were able to raise over $500 from election sign recycling fees alone!

The organization supports in many different ways, from groceries/nutrition to their Clothes For Change program and we were lucky enough to meet a few of their dedicated volunteers.  Despite their busy day, they still graciously offered to show us around so we could see where the funds were going and where all the magic happens.

From our team to yours, thank you Harvest Project for your tireless work!

In order to shed light on different groups, this fall, we have decided to continue our annual coroplast sign recycling & election sign recycling fundraiser campaign.

This year, we have chosen to support a local women’s shelter near and dear to our hearts.  Once again, one of our very own employees stayed at this shelter as a child with her mom who was fleeing from a domestically violent household when she was younger and the organization and staff made a big difference in her life.

From October 2023, through end of December, all fees collected for coroplast and election sign recycling will be donated to the Dixon Transition Home – Women’s Shelter, in an effort to provide support and advocate for women and children who are fleeing from abuse in the present day and age.

Clear out your storage in preparation for next year’s elections, sustainably handle the coroplast material (we collect, palletize, and haul these to our local recycling partners), and support a great charity all in the same process!
